Spring Camp
2026

This is where the season is built. Four weeks to install our offense, our defense, and our identity — before August arrives and the window closes.

Overview

Why Spring Camp Matters

4

Weeks of Camp

Monday through Thursday, 5:30 to 7:30 pm — every session counts.

1

Jamboree

One competitive event to cap off the spring — Cochrane, June 19.

When the regular season kicks off in August, we have roughly ten to twelve practices before our first game. Spring camp is the reason our players are ready. Every rep, every install, every film session builds the foundation we rely on all season.

Eligibility

Who Attends Spring Camp

Incoming Grade 10s

Current Grade 9 Athletes

If you are currently in Grade 9 and planning to attend FCHS next year, Rookie Camp on May 21 is for you. It is your first look at what this program is, how we operate, and what we expect.

Rookie Camp is followed by full spring camp starting May 25. We strongly encourage all incoming Grade 10s to attend both — this is the fastest path to being ready when August arrives.

Current Roster

Grade 10–12 Players

All players currently on the Falcons roster are expected at spring camp. This is not optional. Your teammates are counting on you and so is the coaching staff.

Full camp begins Monday, May 25. Every session from that point through June 18 runs Monday to Thursday, 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Camp Focus

What to Expect

Spring camp is not a conditioning camp. It is a learning camp. We are installing our system — the language, the concepts, and the culture that define how we play.

Offensive Install

Learning our offensive systems. Terminology, assignments, personnel, and execution — from the ground up.

Defensive Install

Learning our defensive scheme, assignments by position, and the communication that makes it work as a unit.

Film & Classroom

Time in the film room and classroom/locker room reinforces what we build on the field. Understanding the why behind every concept.

Special Teams

We will have some time dedicated to special teams during the four weeks, though the primary focus remains on offense and defense installs. Special teams depth will be built out further in August.

Earn Your Place

Competing for the Locker Room

The locker room is not given. It is earned.

Every day of spring camp, players compete for the opportunity to earn a locker. The locker room is one of the most significant spaces in our program — it is where our brotherhood lives. Not every player will have one. The ones who do will have earned it.

Show up. Work hard. Compete. That is how you earn your spot.

Standards

Expectations

1

Attendance

Spring camp is strongly encouraged for all players. For incoming Grade 10s especially, this is the single most important thing you can do to prepare for your first season. The work we do here is not repeated in August — we build on it. Miss spring camp and you are starting behind.

2

Equipment

Bring cleats. That is it. The program provides all required equipment. Before purchasing any vanity items — gloves, visors, or any other add-ons — check with the head coach first. Many items that are common at the senior men's or adult level are not permitted in high school football. A quick conversation before you spend money can save a problem later.

3

Academics

Academic standards are monitored during the spring but not enforced for participation. That changes in August. Eligibility for the regular season requires passing every class. Use the spring to get and stay ahead.
